The Challenge

Helping an Elite Collegiate Athlete Take Advtange of NIL through His Brand.

As NIL laws changed in the summer of 2021, Dawand Jones needed the structure, resources and execution to drive value to his brand and support his career as an elite offensive lineman. We partnered with Dawand from the ground level – helping him develop the foundations of his brand creatively, with a strong business approach. 

What We Did: A Summary

Developing & Launching a NIL-Focused Brand from Scratch.

Brand Identity Development

A collaborative process over 4 weeks, we worked with Dawand to translate who he is as an athlete, on and off the field into a creative-driven brand identity, comprising of a logo, color schemes, font sets, and other brand assets to help represent him wherever he goes.

Sponsor Acquisition & Brand Networking

To put his new brand to use, we focused on building relationships with several companies in and out of the local area. Through a unique creative perspective and a structured business approach, we were able to forge strong connections with sponsors and brand-partners alike – driving value and exposure to his rapidly growing brand. 

Step 1.

Developing the Vision

In partnership with NIL Pro by Chris Fields, we were able to sit down with Dawand and get to see his vision for the athlete and person he aspires to be. By understanding his vision, and what drives him to excel on and off the field, we were able to provide solutions that not only produced results - but were meaningful to him.

Finding a Direction

Instead of simply creating a logo for Dawand based on our initial discussions, we worked collaboratively to provide as much freedom for Dawand to develop the new face of the brand to support the entirety of his career. Over a 6-week process, we developed several 'creative-brand art directions' to guide our discussions and allow for more structured areas for Dawand's creative input, and help better guide us in finding the right look and feel.

Step 3

Finalizing the Look

More than just a logo, the completed brand identity is composed of font sets, color schemes, logo variations, and creative usage guidelines. We went further to integrate his new brand in creative assets and across his social media - allowing him to utilize his brand across the board; from photography, sponsored content, partnerships & announcements, and more.
