We followed Duane’s progression from Ohio State to the NBA – capturing the moments that defined him as an athlete and the person he is today. With a unique perspective on basketball and life, our cinematic-storytelling brought to light what differentiates him from the rest.
What We Did: A Summary
Bringing Duane's Journey to Light through Creative Storytelling.
After being signed to the Pacer’s, Duane had to make his mark to make it big. While he perfected his skills on the court, Envision worked to develop a long-term ‘brand plan’ to support his career. From creative storytelling to developing his core brand platforms, we brought a holistic, vision-driven approach to maximize his potential impact.
Creative Storytelling
At the core of what we do, Creative Storytelling is how we define and build brands. By focusing on the fundamental values that drive Duane to excel on and off the court, we were able to create a genuine, meaningful connection with his audiences. Piece by piece, we captured his journey through the struggles and triumphs and bring an innovative and unseen perspective to his brand as a whole.
Brand 'Home' Development
Duane needed a ‘home’ for his brand; a place for his audiences to go that gave a detailed, story-driven overview of who he is as an athlete and as an individual. We applied our creative perspective across this custom-developed website, showcasing his journey with basketball in addition to his personal interests. We also built the platform to support his other endeavors, like his involvement of the ‘Dreams Take Work’ foundation and his ‘Players Trunk’ where he plans on giving back through selling his gear.
Brand Story Development
Moving forward through his career in the NBA, Duane wanted to bring to light the many facets of his life that people don’t see. Going beyond the surface level, Envision brought the cinematic scope to ideate, develop and build an original series through which he could be himself and inspire others to do the same. Currently in the production phase, we plan to launch the ‘Timeless Interlude’ series in late 2022.
In addition, we focused on setting the foundation of how his brand will look and operate in the future; including Brand Identity development and Venture Development.
